Recovering my blog
-
I’m trying to recover a blog a registered (eddaconsult.wordpress.com)
I’m not sure whether I created it with this username (nisse2) or a generic username eddaconsult
When trying to recover the password for the user eddaconsult I don’t get a password reminder.
I’ve created a test blog with the same name as my account (nisse2.wordpress.com) and this is the only blog that appear in the admin meny under “my blogs.” How can I recover the admin to the blog eddaconsult.wordpress.com? It should be feasible but right now I can’t email support directly and I’m even guessing that the blog could have been registered with this username and I just got names and accounts mixed up. Can you advice me? Thank you -

The blog is definitely not registered with the same username. Check your email spam filters to see if the email from WordPress got flagged as spam, which sometimes happens.

Thank you raincoaster. I didn’t have the reminder flagged as spam and I can get a reminder for this account without it getting flagged as spam. It’s possible that I used an email address for the the blog eddaconsult.wordpress.com that’s for one of my own domains where I control all the email addresses i.e. (email visible only to moderators and staff) or likewise and then I forgot it or created the blog eddaconsult.wordpress.com via some other type of usage. Or that I added some other person as admin who then removed me? Anyhow I think it’s all traceable since I have the times where it should have been created and so, I just wish there was a wordpress admin who could verify that I own the blog so I can edit my pages. But I can use another address while waiting for this problem to resolve, check different other email accounts I used or try remember my password. But maybe the answer is that I created the blog as nisse2, added another admin and that other admin removed me due to a misunderstanding between me and my colleague.

When we register a username here we provide an email address that becomes our unique identifier. Every blog we register when logged into WordPress.com under that username account is assigned to the username account and that unique email address. Please see what the support docs say > http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/

Thank you for the information. One of my email addresses is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and we own the domain eddaconsult.se migrating it to wordpress with mostly static content. So I registered the name eddaconsult.wordpress.se and added some co-workers as admins ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) so maybe someone removed me and took over the blog but in such case that also should be able to get verified. It’s probably my mistake somewhere learning wordpress and using different subdomains in this process.

Correction: Of course I mean eddaconsult.wordpress.com (that’s the address I’m trying to recover but I may have lost it maybe since someone else removed me as administrator)
