Recovering my blog content

    Hi there,
    I own a few websites with wordpress on them, which I did through hostgator. Due to a billing error, one of them was shut down. To bring it back, hostgator wants money. Well, I do not have that… and all I was hoping to do is download my blog in some way. Is there a way I can do this? Does jetpack have it saved somewhere or something? Please help.

    Hi there,

    Jetpack does not include site backups. Unless you made manual backups, or used another backup service like VaultPress, the only way to get your site’s files back is to pay Hostgator to reactivate your site so you can download them.

    Jetpack does not have any access to the servers at Hostgator where your site’s files are stored, and neither do we on WordPress.com. The only people who can give those files back to you is Hostgator.
