Recovering Old Website

Hi, I created a website (juxtalegal.com) which I then wasn’t using and decided not to renew the domain (but wanted to keep all of my custom edits etc. in case I wanted to re-start the site in the future). I’m trying to log back in to my dashboard, but visiting juxtalegal.com/wp-admin – I just receive a ‘Not available’ screen. I also can’t seem to access it by visiting juxtalegal.wordpress.com – can anyone suggest some help please? I’m concerned that all of my data and work has been lost. PS I’ve noted that the domain has now been acquired by a third party. Thank you.

Ok, now when I visit juxtalegal.wordpress.com I’m presented with the message “juxtalegal.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.” Whilst I have not logged in for perhaps a year, I absolutely have not deleted it. Please can someone assist?

The authors have deleted this site.If that site was deleted more than 30 days ago it cannot be recovered.
Are you positive that juxtalegal.com was ever hosted here at WordPress.com? This thread has been tagged to ask a member of staff to check. If it was hosted elsewhere then it would be your responsibility to backup content. It can be dangerous to purchase a custom domain and then let it lapse. As you have discovered someone else can purchase it and fill it with any content (pornography sometimes) they want which could prove embarrassing. -
