Recovering Organization's Website from Absentee Admin

    The previous administrator of my organization’s WordPress page has been unable to transition the page log-in credentials to the new administrator despite repeated requests to do so. We would like the page to be deleted so that we can start a new one or help recovering the page’s log-in credentials. I can provide email correspondence with the previous administrator as well as proof of my current association with the Fort Meadow Association of Marlborough, Massachusetts USA.

    If you have the transaction IDs from charges on this account, you can use the Account Recovery form to prove ownership of the site, then WordPress.com support can help you from there. You can find that form here:

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

    Just fill out as much information as you have including an email address where Support can get in touch. The transaction ID will be on your bank statement as WordPress followed by a letter/number code. They’ll look like this:

    WordPress XXXXXXXXXX
