Recovering Photos From Blog Posts

I just visited my blog, it’s been a couple months since I’ve last visited. All my photos I’ve added to my blog from the last year for some reason are no longer visible? Please tell me there’s a way to recover them. I checked and all the photos I used are still in my iPhoto, so I’m not sure why they are no longer showing up and I’m hopeful via WordPress can I can fix the problem. Thank you.

Hi there!
From our records, I can see that some images were deleted from your site’s Media Library three months ago. Do you remember deleting these?
Deleting files directly from your Media Library will also mean that they’re deleted from any posts or pages they were added to.
As you have backups of the images in iPhoto, I recommend re-uploading from there.
Let me know if that helps to clear up the situation or if you have any extra questions.

Thank you for your response. That’s exactly what I did..deleted photos several months ago trying to create more storage space since I have the free WordPress blog. I had no idea clearing storage space from my media library would take the photos off my blog posts. I’ll go back through all the photos from the last year & re upload them all. This will be extremely time consuming. Lesson learned.
I also need to upgrade to the $18/year subscription so I can utilize more media storage for my monthly blogposts, since now I’ve established I do enjoy the blog & journaling my family life.

Hi Meagan,
I’m glad we cleared up what happened but am sorry for the hassle caused. The wording in the dialog box when images are deleted could be clearer, and this is something that we’re aware of/working on.
