Recovering website content

    I’m trying to switch from WordPress.com to WordPress.org, and something went wrong in the transfer process and all my content is gone. Is there a way to bring it back?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi there, can you please share the address of your WordPress.com website?

    If you’ve gone ahead and exported the content to then import it to your new self-hosted WordPress install with a different web host, as long as your WordPress.com website is online and public during import, the content should transfer.

    Regardless, your content should still be available at your base mysite.wordpress.com address

    Once the Media attachments have transferred successfully to your new site, you can make your WordPress.com website Private to keep it as a backup or delete it.
