Recover/Re-establish deleted blog

  I would like to re-establish a blog that I deleted/cancelled named “rstevendavis.wordpress.com”, but each time I try to create it, I get a message saying either “This blog has been deleted …” or “not available.” Is there any way to create the blog again with the same name?

  I (mis)understood that the blog content would be gone forever, but did not realize that I could not recover the URL name. Oh, well! Guess I’ll just re-establish it on a different blog hosting site.
