  When a domain is cancelled it is returned to the registry where it is held for 60-90 days before it is released again to the public. The bad news is that because you cancelled your domain it is not under our control. The good news is that we may be able to recover it, but there will be a “redemption” fee that is charged by the registry and we cannot waive for any reason.

  Please check your inbox for the invoice we just sent, which will include a link to pay for the redemption fee so we can finalize restoring it to your account.

  If you do not see it in your inbox, please search for the subject “Payment request from Automattic Inc.” and be sure to check any spam folders.
