Recovery Mode

Hello, i recently updated a plugin and it has now made my website go into recovery mode with the below message:
There has been a critical error on this website, putting it in recovery mode. Please check the Themes and Plugins screens for more details. If you just installed or updated a theme or plugin, check the relevant page for that first.
I have followed the steps in the email I have been sent but I still cannot access my dashboard- please can you help?
