Recovery Mode

  Our website is maintained by multiple admins and mostly others are sometime reachable… and unfortunately due to a Plugin Update an error message ‘There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions’ appeared and this time only 2 of the website Admins are in contact while rest not reachable and when we two check our email there’s no email from wordpress regarding the recovery mode login link. Hence we are locked out. Please resolve ASAP

  Hi – What’s the site URL in question?

  It sounds like y’all are actually set up on the open source WordPress.org software. That’s different from the managed hosting environment that we provide here. If you’d like us to assist with the site in the future we can provide the instructions to move it to our service instead.

  Help with WordPress.org comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or through your hosting provider. With the URL we can confirm and get you in the right direction for help.

  So yes, as Liz wrote, it is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Cloudflare.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.   That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
