‘Recovery Mode Initialized’

Hello, I have a small typo on my recent update to functions.php for my child theme on https://comicquarters.com. I have a backup so it’s really an super easy fix of one line, but I can’t access functions.php, as the site is hosted on WordPress, not on a personal server where I could manually access all files with FTP. They sent out a recovery link for recovery mode, but when I click it I get ‘Recovery Mode Not Initialized’.
How can I make my fix to functions.php?

I’ve checked it, and the site comicquarters.com is not hosted on the WordPress.com servers. We can not help here with sites that are not hosted with us, as we have no access to your site, and our support tools will not work.
