Recovery of an account
-
The main issue I have is that I decided I didnt want this username/account and was struggling to change it to what I wanted
I wanted to change the name/URL to something else. I changed this but the name of the blog wouldnt change so I decided to delete the page. Now I have set up a new one but it says that it is already reserved so I am stuck with putting a “1” at the end. I dont know if I can recover it as I dont have the things it asks for to do so but if it can be recovered, at least i can reassign it to my new account? Thanks
RhiannonThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s not possible. You cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ And you cannot revert any username you changed back to the one previous to the change. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and it must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once the verification link for deletion is clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
