Recreate blog
-
Hello,
I currently hold the URL larknation.wordpress.com. I deleted my blog from my account, but I wish to start a new blog using the URL listed above. However, if I open a web browser and type in larknation.wordpress.com I still see the default wordpress page. I cleared my cache as well. When I login to my WordPress account, there are NO blogs listed under my account. Even if I select “Create a Blog” and type in the same URL, I receive an error stating that it exists. I would like to continue using this URL if possible and update or recreate my blog.
Blog url: http://larknation.wordpress.com -
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility -
Note: One must be logged in under the username account that registered the blog in question in order to be able to access the blog.
When we register a username account here the email address we provide becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged into WordPress.com and register a blog it’s registered to that username account we are logged in under and to the email address which is our unique identifier. We can register as many blogs as we wish and provided we are using the same username account then all the blogs will be registered under it and the associated email account. We can change our “display name” but that display name will appear on all blogs registered under the same username account.

Hello thank you for the information. I did click on the link to display the blogs both visible and hidden, zero blogs for either category. Next, tried the dashboard visibility option. It too was unsuccessful. If I view my profile information, it shows the correct URL and email contact address. However, if I type in the URL from login and type my user name and password I receive an error message stating I do have permission to administer the site.

Hello again,
I have flagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please be patient while waiting. -

You may have set your profile’s website to that URL, but larknation1 is not a user on http://larknation.wordpress.com/
You’ll need to log in as the correct user to access it.
