Re=Creating my website from GoDaddy to WordPress

    Hello. I would like to be Able to Re-Create my website on WordPress, it is currently held at GoDaddy. I want to transfer when my account is ready to be renewed at GoDaddy. In the meantime I want to simply BUILD my site here at WordPress and have it ‘Ready to go’ when the time comes. Is there a way to do this without doing the transfer up front? If so, can you guide me as to how to do this. Thank you

    Sure thing. You’re welcome to copy the site over and set it all up so it’s ready once you transfer the domain here.

    Can I recommend two things?

    1) Our paid plans come with chat support. If you buy one now, and just avoid the domain transfer option, you’ll have all the help you need while you’re getting everything set up. Support can even take a look at the existing site and recommend the best way to transfer the content over, though we do have some guides here, too:

    2) It sounds a little bit like you might be planning to let the domain expire at GoDaddy, then buy it here. If I understood you correctly, please know that won’t work. You will need to renew the domain itself before it expires, whether you do that by transferring it here, or whether you renew through GoDaddy. So note if you’d like, you can transfer the domain here so it’s renewed, while still keeping it pointed at your site at GoDaddy. You can switch that over to the new site when you’re ready.
