Recurring Domain billing error – now my domain is gone

why did this happen? Now my website is shut down, my emails are down, everything is down. I set it up to renew automatically. This should not be happening. Im so bummed that my domain is suspended for how long?? MY business is down I cannot send my portfolio out or anything :( someone please help me.
