  “I had posted a photo and some tags, which published just fine for several hours. However, I happened to look at it again, and the photo is gone. All that remains is an empty frame with a red ‘x’ in the upper left-hand corner.”

  Off and on several times already this morning. The HTML code is the same for when the photo appears as for when it is absent (listed under “Gazan child”).

  It shows just fine for me. Most likely it is either an internet connection issue between you and wordpress, or perhaps an invisible proxy server issue, or perhaps your browser is pulling a cached page from your computer instead of getting the new stuff from the internet. Internet Explorer is famous (or infamous) for that.

  Log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and try again.

  One other note: Never have a blog title this long:

  Make your titles and by inclusion your post URL’s short and descriptive. Typically no more that will fit on one line on your blog. The above title will be frowned on by search engines and may actually not even get listed.

  Redo that title, and also edit the permalink for that post, and then include all of that in the body of the post.

  Also…

  I’ve discovered–after the fact–that ten or more tags is at cross purposes with what I’d like to see occur with the blog, i.e. readership. How would I delete a group of them for each post?

  and, finally…

  would I really do well to acquire Firefox for this blog to function–or, have I got what may be a fighting chance to lick this photo issue with IE? While we’re still young, that is–and, as the saying goes…
