Recycle/Reclaim 3 year old URL
-
Good evening!
Approximately 3 or so years ago, I created and deleted a blog under the domain/address guyhickey.wordpress.com with my WordPress account (current/same account I use today). I would like to reuse this address again now – and start a fresh new blog with this exact address.
I had a read through the following article and was happy to see that ‘Sites already deleted by their authors two or more years ago may become available again,’ = https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/Could you please tell me what steps must I take in order to gain back my old URL?
FYI, in the ‘Let’s find a domain’ blog creation step, my url won’t show in the list (https://wordpress.com/start/domains). Is there maybe a recovery option I am missing?
Many thanks and kind regards,
Guy HickeyThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This site has not been deleted https://hickeyguy.wordpress.com/ so the support doc you linked to does not apply here at all.
The Admin login link for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf the log-in information is lost visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you are not successful gaining access to the blog then please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

Hi, thank you for your reply, but I wrote in my post “guyhickey.wordpress.com” not “hickeyguy.wordpress.com”. The other blog address you think I was asking about was added onto the end my message automatically (i’ll never be deleting hickeyguy.wordpress.com). Thank you, but I would like to re-ask my initial question.
Could you please tell me what steps must I take in order to gain back my old URL from over 3 years ago? “GUYHICKEY.WORDPRESS.COM” I would like to revive this address please.
Many thanks and kind regards,

Thank you timethief for your swift reply – I appreciate your assistance and help with this. I have searched through many other threads about similar topics and can see how difficult it may actually be, even after 3 years, to reclaim a deleted url. So I will remain hopeful and positive, but nonexpectant of any result.
Many thanks for enlisting staff help! I shall subscribe for updates.
