Recycling my own deleted blog address
-
I permanently deleted an old and unused blog because I wanted to create a new blog with the same URL from a different WP account, which I am using nowadays for current projects. I didn’t realise I wouldn’t be able to use the URL even after deleting the blog, and now I cannot use it again even from the same account. I’ve read the relevant Support article and this might be impossible, but is there any way at all that I can recycle my old blog address?

Oh no! Deleting any .wordpress.com blog URL is not easily done. One has to ignore three warnings stating that deletion is permanent and irreversible. That’s because deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
