recycling my own domain

  Hi – I signed up for wordpress and forgot I had an account so I registered a domain (douglascarrick.wordpress.com) and then started writing on my previous domain (gaelmac88.wordpress.com). I didn’t realize I could transfer so I deleted the first domain to try to switch over. Now it says that its not available, even though I deleted it. I really want to change gaelmac88.wordpress.com to become douglascarrick.wordpress.com. Thanks in advance for your help!

  Deleted .wordpress.com blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another .wordpress.com blog URL only if it has not been registered previously http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  If you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
