Recycling URLs – Support Clarification
-
In the support text related to recycling a deleted blog URL is says ‘Sites already deleted by their authors two or more years ago may become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts. Do you see a deleted site with an address you would like to have? You can try registering a new site with that address here. If it is available, it will be yours.’
Is there a way to find out if it has been 2-3 years and if that URL will ever become available?

Hi Carinapilar!
https://bungalowstyle.wordpress.com is what I was hoping for.
Bungalow Style is the name of my business.

@jeffsladick, unfortunately that address is not available yet. Since a custom domain like “bungalowstyle.com” it’s also not available (it looks like it’s a premium domain and it costs more than $2.000 to buy it: https://who.is/whois/bungalowstyle.com), I suggest you try a different domain. You can add the word “blog” to it, or add something related to where your business is located.

jeffsladick, unfortunately no, because there are some criteria to meet to be available again, that can change over the next months… If it becomes available you will be able to register it, but I strongly suggest you try a different one.
