I am having the exact same problem. I am the admin of the site and have done all tips I’ve found in wordpress support: cleared cache & cookies, restarted everything, logged in and out, connection is also fine. Nothing is “fixing” this error.
(I am able to work on my site on my tablet though but I much prefer the convenience of desktop)

I’ve had a similar problem before, but I didn’t need to change my password. I’ve just had a look at the thread where I mentioned it, and it looks like working on a different device helps (if one’s available), and if not, leaving it for an hour or two might also help.
In the original thread (https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/apostrophes-turning-to-039-on-saving-cant-save-posts-keep-logging-out-site-setup-list-showing-instead-of-usual-page-not-submitting-queries/#post-3401228), it looks like everything started working again after two hours. I was using a different device to the one where I first experienced the problem. -
Changing my password seems to have worked for me as well. (Hopefully it won’t start update-failing again.)

Still happening
I don’t know how to clear cache/cookies
I have only my desktop computer
It’s happening when I make or edits or new posts. If I close the program, reopen, start over, sometimes it allows me to save one or two additions/updates then there is the red line again.
If I need to change my password, please direct me where to do that – my daughter set this up for meThanks again ~~~

Writer 0001: Thanks for checking in! I was panicked, on a deadline that I was able to meet this morning!
I easily changed my password, saving fine now, so didn’t need to mess with cache and cookies. Desktop is fine.
