Reddle Theme

Am I missing something? I cannot see any place for people to comment even though it is set up for comments. I personally use Firefox, but have tried to see it in IE also.
I did receive an error in IE “Line: 15
Error: Object doesn’t support this property or method”
The 15th line shows text only. Anyone else having this problem?I have tried from other locations, thinking it was a setting on my PC, but cannot find any difference.
Thanks.

IE is meaningless to us without the version number. see here http://supportdtails.com to determine which version you are running please.

Your blog is operating correctly. Unless you use P2, a twitter-like theme comments are collapsed on the front page of the blog. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.
In a new blog one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog like mine with over 1,000 posts if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.

My IE version is 8.0.6001.18702. I am not “expecting” posts or comments. I was checking the integrity of the site and found that the comment button was not showing up. I have had a comment “box” show on the bottom at times, but nothing else. Thanks.

1. The most recent version of IE is IE11 and the browser you are running is outdated and not supported here at WordPress.COM. You need to either upgrade to IE 11or download another browser fromhttp://browsehappy.com.
I have had a comment “box” show on the bottom at times, but nothing else. Thanks.
What did you expect please? By default if you click any page or post title the comment box displays at the bottom of the page. That is normal behavior.

I cannot dictate what other people are using as their browser. I was not aware that WordPress didn’t work on anything less than IE 11. (My mistake) Many people have never left XP because they cannot afford it and IE will not upgrade for them – it only installs on Windows 7 and 8.1+.
As for the comment box – The comment box does not always show up. It is not just here where I am located, it is at other locations. I expected a comment location “somewhere”. Sometimes it does not show up at all. This is not only on IE, but Firefox also.
Thanks for all you help and information.
