redeem expired domain

  I don’t want to renew my site on wordpress, I just want my domain name (coffeeandautumn.com) to be released or cancelled so I can use it to register elsewhere. How do I do this?

  Hey there,

  The domain is expired with us – once expired, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it will go through a redemption process before you even try to reacquire it:

  Domain Expiration

  If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to keep it with us. Instead, you can move the domain to another site

  What I would recommend is renewing the domain with us and then transferring the domain over to the host of your choice. That way you will not run the risk of losing the domain, and it will also be the fastest way of using the domain at your new host.
