  • Hi @keystonestatebombers, the site you listed is active, though not used much. Could you send a link to the page you’re having trouble with?

If you have a separate host, please note these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com:

The website name I am referring to is ksbombers.com. You guys own it but we run it through another service. We were supposed to renew it for $18 I believe. Maybe $30. They said now it’s 80 plus that fee. If I wanted to move forward they could do that. I responded “yes” I want to and accept the charges but all emails get kicked back to me.

  • Hi there,

I replied to you two days ago in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/need-to-renew-domain-10/, and you haven’t replied there yet.

We don’t “own” the domain, ksbombers.com. It belongs to you, or belonged to you until you allowed it to expire on 17 October.

That domain has since been removed from our system, and is in redemption at the registry that controls it. We must pay the registry a $80 fee to get it back at this point, in addition to the regular renewal fee.

I’m sending you a payment link via email to pay for the domain’s redemption and renewal. Once we receive your payment we can email our domain provider to recover the domain and restore it to our account.

I responded “yes” I want to and accept the charges but all emails get kicked back to me.

What are you referring to here? You haven’t opened any email support tickets with us. These two forum threads are the only open support requests you have with us.

If you mean you’ve been replying to the forum notification emails, those are sent from a donotreply email address, and you cannot respond to them directly. The only way to reply to a forum thread is to click the link in the notification email to visit the thread itself, and reply here directly in the forum.

  • We’ve received your payment, thank you.

I’ve emailed our domain provider to restore your domain.

They should reply within 48 hours, but if we’re lucky your domain might still be reactivated today.

Thanks kokkieh! Really appreciate it. I’m sure the communication chain here seems simple to you, but I have found it very frustrating because it didn’t seem to have a direct contact. I also couldn’t find where to open a support ticket. Contact us obviously leads to a “public forum” which in itself is confusing because that leads one to believe that anyone can respond to it from WordPress or otherwise.

Regardless, I’m glad this is getting resolved and I appreciate you reaching out and your patience.

  • Just following up, our domain provider hasn’t responded yet, so we’re following up with them directly on why that is the case. They only operate during US business hours, so we’ll only hear back from them later today.

  • Thanks for your patience. The domain is now available for use on your site. 😊
