Redemption

  Hi

  I am the legal owner of stevenawoor.com domain name and it’s expired and gone into redemption period. I want to fully recover this domain name and have started a transfer into 123-reg via a third party to Steve Perry (email visible only to moderators and staff) so he can manage teh account on my behalf.

  The domain name stevenawoor.com expired and we renewed it via 123-reg and are trying to transfer the domain name away from WordPress.com and into 123-reg as part of the renewal process.

  When viewing who.is records for the domain, the details seemed to be connected to Domains By Proxy, which we have contacted who state they don’t have access to the records of 123. reg and told us to contact the registrar for assistance. We then contacted Wild West Domains who said it hs to be done via wordpress.

  My site stevenawoor.com has now been down 5 days despite us trying to follow what we think is the right process. This is such an urgent issue now so any help appreciated.

  Hi there,

  That domain expired on 31 March and has already been removed from our system.

  You have two options at this point:

  1) You can wait for the redemption phase to finish and the domain to be released, at which point you can register it with 123-reg at the normal price.

  2) We can attempt to recover the domain from redemption. However, our registrar charges a $80 fee for this, and you’ll also need to pay for the renewal of the domain. If we are unable to recover the domain, the payment is refunded in full.

  Please confirm if you want to pay the redemption fee to get the domain back, and I’ll email you with the next steps.

  Thanks Guys, much appreciated. So if we pay to recover it and that all goes ok, http://www.stevenawoor.com will be live again we can transfer that to 123.reg for my thirdparty to manage..?

  If the recovery is successful you should be able to transfer the domain once it’s restored and renewed, yes.

  I’ve sent you an email with a link you can use for payment. The moment we receive payment I’ll start the recovery process.
