Redemption Period site ending

Hi there,
My domain has entered a redemption period status. I renewed my wordpress plan and mapped my domain to what I own however the status is the still the same. I still want to keep my website domain as truthsshewrote.com.

Your domain expired in July and is, as you say, still showing as being in the redemption period. You may have renewed your WordPress.com plan, but if the grace period had already passed when you did then staff intervention is required to hopefully recover your domain. There is also an additional cost which has to be paid to the registrar to do this. See this support doc: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
Although the title of your thread is clear enough I have added modlook to make sure that staff find the thread under the appropriate tag. You may be able to speed things up by returning here and confirming your domain name and that you agree to pay the extra charges so that staff can attempt recovery straight away.

Hi there,
The domain, truthsshewrote.com, has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.
I also need to point out that the domain is reaching the end of the redemption period, at which point we won’t be able to recover it for you any more, so we’ll need to move fairly quickly if you still want it back.
On the other hand, once the redemption period ends and our registrar releases the domain, you might be able to register it as a new domain at the regular price. But it is risky as anyone else will also be able to register it once it’s released.

When will the redemption period end with the registrar? Can I please pay the registration fee and get this domain back up and running.

When will the redemption period end with the registrar?
I checked the status of truthsshewrote.com and it has now been cancelled. Unfortunately, we no longer control the domain and aren’t able to recover it for you.
If a domain is not redeemed and is not purchased at auction, it is usually then returned to the pool of available domain names and can be registered again on a first-come, first-served basis.
I’m unable to give you an exact timeframe, so all I can recommend is to keep checking to see if the domain has become available again.
