redesign site without affecting current live site

  I currently have a live website. I would like to redesign it in a ‘sandbox’ area. This would allow me to build it without affecting the current site. Then when the new design is ready to launch, I can easily ‘flip a switch’ and have the new design go live without disruption to the site.

  We don’t offer a classic staging site at this time but there are alternatives like switching to coming soon or working in drafts, here is our guide on that: https://wordpress.com/support/alternatives-to-staging-sites/

  Another idea is to create a new site > add the plan and use 14 days refund period or get a monthly plan. Then you could refund it or cancel and move the current site’s plan and domain there. We can help with that.
