redirect 401 error

  • Unknown's avatar

My redirect upgrade is telling me that my parttimeprosperity.com websites DNS isn’t set up properly, and whenever I redirect from one of my posts in wordpress reader it sends me to a 401 error on parttimeprosperity.com. I read at the bottom of the redirect setup page that it may be due to my permalink structure on my website… I do not have the date first in my permalink structure.

    Thank you

    Eric

    It was a 404 error… Ooops!

    Hi Eric,

The site redirect upgrade will not work for your individual posts as long as the permalink structure for your site at parttimeprosperity.com is not the same as your blog here at WordPress.com. For the redirect to work, you will need to set up your site at parttimeprosperity.com with the same permalink structure as your WordPress.com blog (including the post date).

If you decide not to use the site redirect upgrade, you can cancel the upgrade for a full refund within 30 days of purchase by going to Store > My Upgrades in your dashboard.

Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this!

I got it to work without changing my permalinks! I just got a plugin that redirects people from the 404 error page to my home page (which is all I wanted anyway)
