  If I upgrade from the free to the 2.99 euros/month plan and change the name of the URL will people be redirected from the old one to the new one.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi There!

  I found this for you:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

  It says:

  Register a new domain through WordPress.com and have it connect automatically – if you just want a custom domain as quickly and easily as possible.

  So the new custom domain will redirect to you blog, joriseal.wordpress.com.

  @joristermee – Just to clarify that all upgrade plans on WordPressdotcom are billed annually, not monthly. https://wordpress.com/pricing/
