I purchased a $13 redirect option, then realized that what I want is the opposite — to use a domain I already own. I was refunded the $13 almost immediately, but the site still points to my domain, which is currently a generic page with BlueHost. How do I get my site looking the way it did before I bought the redirect?
WP.com: Yes

Hi there!
I’m showing your page is loading at https://lclaireportfolio.wordpress.com/ just fine. If you’re trying to load your domain and see your WordPress.com hosted site, you’ll need to do two things:
1. Upgrade to one of our paid plans and choose the “use a domain I already own” option: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
2. Then, at your domain registrar (Namecheap), update your domain nameservers (DNS) to use WordPress.com’s:
ns1.wordpress.com ns2.wordpress.com ns3.wordpress.comDNS changes can take anywhere from a few hours up to 48 hours to fully propagate across the entire internet, so you won’t see those changes immediately.
I hope that clarifies things! Let us know if you have any questions or need help with anything else.

Thanks so much! I think perhaps I was getting the other page because I needed to clear my cache — anyway, it is working for me now, too. I appreciate your help and the instructions.
