Redirect a wordpress registered domain from one wordpress blog I own to another

  This is a little embarrassing, but I am hoping this can be solved without any financial cost! I recently purchased the unique domain name letterfromanatolia.com via WordPress and pointed it at my wordpress blog, politikaturka.wordpress.com. In the process (hastily done, I admit) I clean forgot that I had registered and own letterfromanatolia.wordpress.com, which I set up around 3 months ago and did nothing to it. Is there a way to redirect the unique domain name, letterfromanatolia.com, to letterfromanatolia.wordpress.com without paying for the Site Redirect at $13/year (which is not such a small sum in my local currency)? I realise I should have been more careful (and less forgetful!), but I’m hoping that this can be done somehow seeing as I am the registered owner of all three URLs and they are all on wordpress.com servers. Any free fixes for my silly (but small) mistake are greatly appreciated!

  Provided that both of your blogs are in the same WordPress.com account, you can transfer the domain from one to the other for free.

  In the blog that has the domain you wish to transfer, go to Store > My Upgrades. Click the “Transfer to another site” link and follow the instructions. If you don’t see that link, click the gear icon next to the domain to make it (and other links) visible.

  Thanks for recommendation. But according to the My Upgrades page, I don’t have any. Although I disagree, as I would count the Domain Registration I did through WordPress of letterfromanatolia.com as an upgrade. As this was done while using my politicaturka.wordpress.com dashboard, it should be seen there following the directions you gave. Except, I think, the new WordPress interface (ie, all in blue & white, as opposed all through the Admin dashboard) does not have any gear icons. I even tried making politicaturka.wordpress.com my Primary Domain to see if that help. I think the only way is for some kind WordPress happiness engineer to do some behind the scenes magic, as it’s all about redirecting a unique domain name — letterfromanatolia.com — to a WordPress blog URL — letterfromanatolia.wordpress.com. Either that or unfortunately paying for Site Redirect.
