Redirect After Upgrade

    I have a free wordpress.com account, and I am thinking about up upgrading to the Premium Plan. If I were to upgrade to that plan, does my old wordpress.com account automatically get redirected to the new address, or do I need to pay for the redirect?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Yes if you upgrade and choose a new custom domain address anyone typing the old address or clicking a link containing the old address will be automatically redirected.
