Redirect and search engines

  I just exported my blog to Blogger and got a redirect through WordPress store. But don’t the search engines penalize you for a redirect? If so, how do I cancel the redirect? Thanks.

  Figured out how to cancel redirect. Just need an answer to my first question so I know what is the right thing to do.

  301 moved permanently does not get penalized. So I guess I answered all my questions. :-)
