Redirect and Subscribers

  Hi! I just moved from a wordpress.com site to a new URL that is self-hosted. We plan to buy the Redirect upgrade soon when the kinks in the new blog are all worked out, but I wondered if there was a way I could direct anyone subscribed to follow my former blog to my new blog? Some are subscribed to receive an email; others are “Following” via WordPress. Is there something I need to do, or is this part of the Redirect service, or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  The new blog I need help with is at turtlestravel.com. The old blog is turtlestravel.wordpress.com

  Staff cannot move subscribers for you until you install the JetPack plugin and activate it. I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  Thanks. I have already installed the JetPack plugin and activated it. I am being notified when there are responses to this thread. Thanks for your help! It’s been a crazy move…still a work in progress!

  I can transfer your followers from your WordPress.com site to your WordPress.org one. Could you confirm for me both the old and new URL for your the sites involved in the transfer?

  Am I supposed to do something further for this to happen, or do I need to initiate the Redirect first before someone can move the subscribers over…?
