Redirect and sudden no indexing

    While researching why my wordpress.com via using Google Analytics and search console, I learned the site is not indexed (anymore) Blog started 2008. Theme: Enterprise” which I just learned is retired. I’m not a developer, programmer, designer. The site does not generate income for me. It serves many purposes, one Blog is a branding tool for job search and for creative writing, photography [Hobbies]. It used to be no problem. I used analytics, could see all of the data.

    After URL inspection on console and learned Site is not indexed and there is no sitemap. It looks like new posts have not been indexed. Can you help me understand why there is a redirect? What can be done to fix it?

    The inspection returned the following information to me
    [Status: Excluded – Affected Pages: 71 due to redirect}
    Looks like redirect going to http://gmpg.org

    When I link to other sites, it is usually to cite a source or refer to something for context
    If I post a youtube video, no money changes hands, its to educate

    In addition, I need to find a solution for the following
    4 DOM elements slowing load
    Need to reduce the impact of 3rd party codes
    Need to remove unused CSS

    Someone help me understand the issue and direct me someplace where I can get answers? Grateful for any insight you can provide.

  • Hi there,

    Of which site are you speaking? I see two sites in your account, https://kakiewrites.wordpress.com/ and https://kakiescorner.wordpress.com/, and both of them are loading normally for me, not redirecting anywhere else.

    If either of those sites are being redirected for you, the most likely cause is malware in your browser, so please do a malware scan using a tool like Malwarebytes, and also remove any browser toolbars or add-ons you don’t recognise.

    https://kakiewrites.wordpress.com/ is indexed in Google and appearing in search results, as can be seen here: https://www.google.co.za/search?q=site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fkakiewrites.wordpress.com%2F

    The sitemap for that site can be found at https://kakiewrites.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml

    The other site is set to private, so only you can see it, and it wouldn’t be indexed in any search engines.

    But both those sites are also on our free plan, and we only offer Google Analytics integration on our Premium Plan and higher, so if you’re using Google Analytics, you’re referring to a different site, not connected to this WordPress.com account.

    Hi, it is for https://kakiewrites.wordpress.com

    Yes, the site is indexed, but not the whole site. I did a URL inspection ton Google message was:

    “URL is not on Google | This page is not in the index, but not because of an error. See the details below to learn why it wasn’t indexed. According to the report, I opened called :

    The header says “Page with Redirect” Status: Excluded.

    The inspection returned the following information to me
    [Status: Excluded – Affected Pages: 71 due to redirect}

    Looks like redirect going to http://gmpg.org —> What is this page and why are 71 of my links being redirected to it??

    I have read that redirecting to this resource and came upon an article about hacking. Is this a known issue?

    How do I know if someone hacked my site and put codes in my

    Another example. The following link:
    http://kakiewrites.wordpress.com/2016/03/08/individual-response-to-change-management/ is not indexed.
    I inspected the url and received the following:
    Coverage: “Page with redirect”
    Sitemaps: N/A
    Referring page: None detected: URL might be known from other sources that are currently not reported

    Then I test Robots.txt blocking When I do that the following pops us

  • As @kokkieh mentioned, Google Analytics can’t be used with a free WordPress.com site, it’s not possible to allow Google to check the correct info on your site and that is probably why you see that your posts are not indexed etc. The information Google presents you is not accurate.

    Your site is loading fine on my end as well, there are no redirects and if you are redirected somewhere else, I recommend doing a malware scan in your browser.
