Redirect from one WordPress.com blog to another WordPress.com blog

  I want Redirect from one WordPress.com blog to another WordPress.com blog.

  1. What happens to the old links? are they still active.
  2. What happens to my old followers?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  If you purchase a redirect, all of the links from your old blog will be redirected to the same link on your new blog. So if someone was to type in domain1.com/an_old_url then they would be taken to domain2.com/an_old_url.

  So with redirects it is generally best to make sure that you have all of the same content migrated over to any new accounts so that people don’t end up at dead links.

  As for your followers, there is a tool right here:

  Which will allow you to migrate your followers from one site to another. It’s mostly for moving WordPress.com users to a self-hosted WordPress.org site, but it works with WordPress.com to WordPress.com. If you run in to troubles though, just let me know and I can help!
