redirect from wordpress.com to a new host

    Does redirect change my new site’s design at all?
    I already uploaded the xml file from my wordpress.com site to my new host and then hauled the theme over, and now I want to use the redirect subscription service so that avevalencia.wordpress.com redirects to avevalencia.net.
    But I am unsure of how it works.
    Will my old posts be transferred over to my new site all over again?
    I made some of the posts private and deleted some images in my new blog.
    Will they be transferred over from the old site?
