Redirect from wordpress.com to our new site – how-to?

Our wordpress.com site has been terrific, and served its purpose as a placeholder for the new multisite we’ve just launched. (We’re loving WordPress a lot!!)

I’d like to redirect traffic from web.wordpress.com to http://www.wordpress.com gently. My ideal is for the redirect to go to a page suggesting visitors update their bookmarks, and after a 5 sec delay, directing them to the new site.

Is this a feature in the WordPress.com install? If not, is there a way on that site to direct *every* page call to one single page with my redirect message written out and a link to click?

How have others handled migration to a larger site at a different subdomain on a different host?

    Thanks so much!!

    LOL The above should read:
I’d like to redirect traffic from web.iguanabooks.com to http://www.iguanabooks.com gently. (It’s late).

Hi. web.iguanabooks.com was set up by using a CNAME record on your existing hosting provider or domain name registrar:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/

So logically to redirect traffic from the “web” subdomain to the main “www” subdomain, you would need to update that record as well so that it points to the main site. That’s outside of WordPress.com’s scope at that point. You have to see it not as “WordPress.com redirecting traffic to my site”, but rather “Have my existing provider no longer point to WordPress.com but pointing to my site instead”.
