redirect https to http
-
Hi – a blog we have here – blog.[domain].co.uk is now to be replaced with http://www.[domain].co.uk/blog.
Currently, the blog.[domain].co.uk site is hosted with wp.com and has an https certificate associated with it. I’m not sure how, but any request to blog.[domain].co.uk is automatically redirected to the secure version, which we need to change.
We don’t want to lose any traffic from links saved or historical searches, so we just want anyone visiting http://blog.%5Bdomain%5D.co.uk/%5Banypath%5D or https://blog.%5Bdomain%5D.co.uk to end up at http://%5Bdomain%5D.co.uk/blog – a 301 redirect would be good.
In wp.com admin, there is an option under settings > general for $13.00 per year to redirect the site. Will this work in our situation – i.e. can we specify here to only use a non-secure protocol?
If anyone can help, or if any further information is needed, please let me know!
Many thanks!
