Redirect office live blog to new wordpress.com blog (with new url)

    I have an office live site registered with Melbourne IT. The domain is jashiki.net. I have opened a new blog in wordpress.com at hiroshijashiki.com. I want to point jashiki.net to hiroshijashiki.com, so that all traffic flows to my new wordpress.com site. Please advise.

    Hi Philip. Please refer your friend to this link and have him decide whether he wants to point the entire domain (which might render the Office Live site invisible) or just a subdomain (and have the best of both worlds)

    I’ve read the domain mapping several times but not sure that I understand. We want to replace jashiki.net with hiroshijashiki.com (on wordpress..com). The instructions on domain mapping seem to suggest that jashiki.net url will take the place of hiroshijashiki.com. Have I misunderstood?

    *I* misunderstood, sorry.

    I think you can either purchase a second “domain mapping” upgrade or you can ask your domain name registrar if they can simply do a redirect from jashiki.net to hiroshijashiki.com.
