Redirect problem: ‘This site is marked private by its owner’ to ‘Log in to your account’ to ”This site is marked private by its owner’

    Hi, thank you if anyone can help me with an issue re viewing my own Private/Protected blog. I can see it from My Home after I log in, but I cannot use the ‘View Site’ link, because I believe there is a redirect problem on login.

    Here is what I have experienced:
    I am logged into WordPress. From My Home I select my Private/Protected blog. I then see an admin view of the site. When I try to click ‘View Site’ from this point, I see ‘This site is marked private by its owner’ (correctly), but when click ‘Log in to your account’, I see my name and my avatar already (I am logged in, after all). When I click Continue, I am redirected back to ‘This site is marked private by its owner’. It seems like a circular link / or redirect, with no way to ‘View Site’.

    I imagine the dust is still settling from the recent UI changes, but this one seems like it might be an actual, fixable link problem. Does anyone know how I can report it, or if that is possible?

    Hi there,

    What browser are you using? Does the issue persist when using a different one?

    I’m wondering if this may have something to do with the third-party cookies. Can you check if your browser allows them?

    Hi — thank you for the suggestion. The problem seems to be cleared up with allowing third-party cookies.

    You asked about browsers I had tried. I had been using:

    Safari Version 14.0 (15610.1.28.1.9, 15610)
    Chrome Version 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit)
