Redirect Question

When we purchase the site redirect, will it redirect company.wordpress.com/story1 to company.com/story 1, or will it just redirect from company.wordpress.com/story1 to company.com

Are you asking about site redirect (you are moving off WordPress.COM to your own host) or are you asking about Domain Mapping (you want to remain at WordPress.COM but use a custom domain name company.com to replace company.wordpress.com when people visit your blog) ?
In both cases the answer is yes – provided if you are moving off WordPress.COM to your own host that you fix the Permalinks on your new site to match the ones here. If you are domain mapping then people go to the right place, sort of like magic

Yes, we are moving off to our own hosting but still using WordPress. Just wanted to confirm that we were able to redirect a person that has book marked the old story to the new location of that story.
