Redirect site

How do I redirect my site? I cancelled kjvbuck.com and created a new blog lastdayswatchman.org
I found the instructions for getting the site redirected, but I don’t see any page for a “STORE” to purchase a redirect. GoDaddy is my host and I’ve uploaded all the files, but none of the pages, posts, media, etc. shows up in my new website. I need all that stuff transferred from kjvbuck.comThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
Did you have a WordPress.com site in the past? If so, is this the site that you would like to setup a redirect from?
If you aren’t sure, could you take a look at this page:
-
Yes, http://www.kjvbuck.com was a WordPress site. I want that site to be redirected to the new domain, http://www.lastdayswatchman.org
-
p.s. I would also need to know if I need to clear out the files via GoDaddy and/or reinstall WordPress for hosting before the redirect takes place. I was working with GoDaddy tech people and they changed some things.
-
When I view http://kjvbuck.com, it shows me a Godaddy landing page.
According to this page, the redirect that you are looking for is called domain name forwarding:
http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/422/forwarding-or-masking-your-domain-name
You could try making that change yourself by following the guide above or Godaddy support should be able to set this up for you.
Hope this helps!

NO!! That’s not helpful. I want all my posts, pages, media library, etc. redirected to lastdayswatchman.org. The reason kjvbuck.com doesn’t show anything publicly anymore is because the hosting was cancelled for that site. I purchased a NEW domain and NEW hosting plan. I might be able to talk them into temporarily hosting kjvbuck.com if that is needed. WordPress still has the kjvbuck.com blog on my account active. I added the 2nd blog to my account, but need the files redirected on the WordPress side of things. GoDaddy is no help. They don’t know anything about WordPress. Is there a number to talk to someone live for WordPress tech support?

Was kjvbuck.com being hosted by Godaddy?
If so, you were using the self-hosted version of WordPress (WordPress.org). This is different than WordPress.com:
You’ll want to export your information from your old site and import it into the new site.
There is a guide available but you’ll need to be able to reach the WordPress admin:
-
-
Nice!
You’ll want to reach out to them to see if they can setup some temporary hosting so that you can export your information from your old site.
Once you have that you can login to your WordPress admin for you new site and go to Tools –> Import. This will allow you to get your information into your new site.
The terms import and export may be confusing so take a look at this video:
Good luck!

Talking to GoDaddy, the import/export may not help at all either. I used FileZilla and probably downloaded all of that. However, GoDaddy thinks “databases” are missing.

The missing databases were the problem. GoDaddy fixed it. My site is now transferred and working properly. Thanks for your help.
