Redirect site during a domain transfer

  Hi, I started the process of transferring my domain from Squarespace to wordpress, but unfortunately it says it can take up to 15 days. I already built a .wordpress.com site. Can I forward anyone going to my original domain to the .wordpress.com site during the domain transfer? People need to access my site and they’re unable to at this time.

  Based on the current domain status, your transfer has been started, and authorization from your current domain provider is waiting. 
  Current domain records cannot be changed anymore at this point. 
   
  Your current domain provider should allow you to speed this process up, either through their website or an email they’ve already sent you.
   
  As soon as the transfer is complete you will be able to set it as the primary domain for your site:
  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/set-a-primary-address/
