redirect to blogger with custom domain name upgrade

  I would like to transfer to blogger. I believe I will need a redirect, but I’m not sure what to do about the custom domain name. My WordPress Domain is sparksforliving.wordpress.com with a custom domain mapping upgrade to thinkingrules.com.

  I believe that I would use redirect with the from url criteria as sparksforliving.wordpress.com and the blogger thinkingrule.blogspot.com as the to url criteria (my blogger equivalent to sparksforliving.wordpress.com). Is this right?

  Also, I have the domain thinkingrules.com registered with GoDaddy, so I don’t think I need to do anything there except update my primary domain from thinkingrules.com to sparksforliving.wordpress.com. Is this right?

  Any help would be great.

  Your domain is not registered through us, so you’ll handle the redirect through your domain registrar.

  As long as Domain Mapping remains active on your WordPress.com blog with thinkingrules.com as the primary domain, your WordPress.com blog URL will be redirect to thinkingrules.com, no matter where it is.

  Will domain mapping remain active even if the blog is deleted?

  No, and the blog won’t be redirected if it’s deleted either. ;)
