I see that a redirection widget is available. But is that only available to those who are NOT using the free website?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you have a domain that you purchased from WordPress.COM?

If your answer to my question is no then read:

No – I don’t have a domain from WordPress. Just my old domain still active at GoDaddy.
When I redirected with masking, the social media links in the top nav bar became non-functioning. After being on the phone with GoDaddy yesterday, they told me I need to redirect from WP. -

WordPress.COM does NOT support forwarding and masking. It will fail because our wordpress.COM hosted sites are not on permanent IP Addresses. IP Address For Domain Mapping https://en.support.wordpress.com/ip-addresses/#ip-address-for-domain-mapping
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/ The domain or mapping of any existing domain URL is included in the pricing for a personal upgrade, a premium and a business upgrade.

Thanks. Looks like I will have to upgrade then. Or switch and build a site elsewhere. Hmmm…

Hi @finallymartha,
I see that a redirection widget is available.
You mentioned you have a domain at GoDaddy. Do you want to use that domain for your WordPress.com site?
Once I know what you would like to do, I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
