redirect traffic

  I cant seem to re-direct traffic from old url to new url. I tried to purchase the site re-direct but was denied.
  Blog url: http://thetrashbash.wordpress.com/

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What are the two URLs you refer to please?

  I want to redirect traffic from

  alexkessie.wordpress.com to thetrashbash.wordpress.com

  I had a message saying something about not being able to redirect from the URL because it was an invalid address?

  How many username accounts do you have? You must be logged in under the username account that registered the blog in question in order to access it and do anything in it.

  Just the one. I log in with one account every time and am able to ‘manage my blogs’ which is how i changed the URL. Only when i see links on google it still goes to the old page. I set up a page to give out my new addy but really no traffic like before.

  Try entering http://thetrashbash.wordpress.com/ as the redirect address.

  If that doesn’t work, try just: thetrashbash.wordpress.com

  Guys…is it because i have already made my new URL blog my primary address? to i have to revert that status to my old url first before redirecting it to my new address?

  yes – that makes sense – it can’t redirect to the primary address – sorry. I already have the site up and running i just needed my old traffic to transfer but it looks like i have to revert my old address to ‘primary’ blog status?

  Make sure that you’re adding the redirect via the Dashboard of http://alexkessie.wordpress.com/
