Redirect url to new website

    Hai there! We created a new website for a client. This client removed her WordPress account with the domain https://helenleefstijlcoaching.wordpress.com/ linked to it. Can we redirect this domain to helenleefstijlcoaching.nl? de wordpress.com domain is first in google results and it is a dead page now. Thanks in advance :)

    You can do so by buying a redirect upgrade, https://wordpress.com/support/site-redirect/.
    There is one major problem: when you delete a wordpress subdomain, it can only be recovered within 30 days after deletion. Once 30 days passed, the subdomain gets locked forever. Idem dito for the wordpress.com account.
    Let’s wait till a Staff member comes to the rescue, they can tell you exactly what’s possible or not.

    Hi there!

    There was no content under the URL helenleefstijlcoaching.wordpress.com– did you instead mean leefstijlcoaching.wordpress.com?

    If so, three things need to happen:

    1. Your client needs to reactivate their WordPress.com user account. They can reply to the email they would have received when they deleted their account to ask Support to reinstate the account since it’s only been two days since they deleted it.

    2. Your client needs to request they reverse the deletion of the site leefstijlcoaching.wordpress.com in that same email.

    3. Your client will then need to set up a Site Redirect upgrade to redirect their WordPress.com site to the new domain and site.

    We’re not able to do this via our support forums as we can only make changes if the owner of the account requests it.
