Redirect WP.com to different Permalinks on WP.org
-
Hi, I want to Redirect my blog articles of planative.wordpress.com to planative.net (run by wordpress.org)
Basically that works well with the $13 Redirect upgrade, but only as long as I keep my permalink Settings to “day and name” on planative.net. I understand that, as the WP.com default permalink is Domain.wordpress.com/year/Month/Day/individual-article-text
As to SEO I would like to stick to the Format Domain.net/individual-article-text though and avoid Y/M/D on my new website. If I change my permalink settings to that “postname” structure, I clearly end up producing only 404s.
Is there any way, to “connect” two articles with each other manually, without changing the permalinks of planative.net?
Here’s an example
I want to Redirect
planative.wordpress.com/2013/05/07/gratis-laser-show-in-singapur/
to
planative.net/gratis-laser-show-in-singapur/The WP Support writes:
If the new site you’re redirecting to does not use this permalink structure, the redirect will try to find a post on your new site that matches the post URL from your WordPress.com site, but some visitors may see an error message indicating no matching post could be found.
that doesnt really help unfortunately….
Thanks for your help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is nothing we can do on our end to change that, I’m afraid.
You might be able to set up a series or redirects for specific pages with your domain registrar.
