Hi!

I own a domain name: http://www.hardnews.nl (by mijndomein.nl)
I bought the option to us a own domainname @ wordpress instead of hardnewsnl.wordpress.com
I used to redirect hardnews.nl to hardnewsnl.wordpress.com
Now I want to get rid of the wordpress.com in the url
So I stopped the redirecting and I activated the option to use hardnews.nl on google..
But when I go the hardnews.nl it doesnt redirect to my wordpress page :(

Can someone help me?

Hi. First of all, which upgrade did you buy? “Site redirect” or “Domain mapping”?

To further clarify: to do what you want to do, you need to buy the Domain Mapping upgrade from WordPress.com (not from Google!) and follow these instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

This includes contacting staff so that they add a zone record for your .nl domain name.

Not quite. If I understand this correctly, in regards to your domain mapping upgrade, you have a credit and you still need to take action. More information here:

I asked you to contact staff before, but since I don’t know if you haven’t or not, I took the liberty of tagging this thread so that they add a zone record for hardnews.nl

And how can I contact staff?

I know how to set up a primary domain, but when I turn it on..
The redirecting doenst work at my host..

The domain name you want to map to your WordPress.COM blog to remove the .wordpress.com from the URL requires a Zone Record to work. The staff need to add the zone record before you can compete your mapping to an existing domain name using the instructions above.

The staff will either answer you back from the support request you sent in or answer here when the zone record has been added. You can subscribe to this thread if you want to get an email when there is a response here – see the top of the sidebar on the right hand side if you want to subscribe

Are you talking about the Staff Questions section of this forum? To post on it, you have to use the regular form to contact staff:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
At the bottom of the form, you may see a choice of either “Public” or “Private”.
Public questions go to that forum.

Or you may wait until staff takes action on this same forum thread. (It’s tagged already).

http://hardnews.nl/ appears to be working properly.

It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.
